                    Post Partum - Hypercoaguable state
Prothrombin 20210 mutation,
Protien S, C, deficient – Inherited
Polycythemia vera - increased viscosity
Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria
Smoking

HIT Heparin Induced Thrombocytopenia, Hyperhomocyteinemia
Antithrombin III Deficiency
Dysfibrinogenemia

CHF or Congestive Heart Failure
Antiphospholipid Syndrome
Uremia – Chronic Renal Failure
Surgery – Orthopedic is greatest risk
Estrogen
Diabetes

Cholesterol elevation, Cancer - procoagulant effects,
Leiden Factor V mutation – Activated Protein C resistance
Obesity and Cholesterol elevation
